As mentioned previously, healing masses celebrated by Fr. Edward Murphy have been graciously approved by Bishop da Cunha. You should start seeing these posters appearing around the Shrine and the area:

Gift Shop Open
Just a reminder that our office is open from 8AM to 5PM every day (we will be closed, though, on Christmas) for the purchase of candles ($5.00 donation for the large, 5-day, and $1.00 for the 5-hour) as well as a selection of religious articles. Please stop by and visit; perhaps you’ll find that last-minute gift for someone.
Vespers for the Third (Gaudete) Sunday in Advent
Just a reminder:
Vespers (Evening Prayer) for the Third (Gaudete) Sunday in Advent will be held in the Shrine at 4:00PM this coming Sunday, December 15.
All are welcome! Bring a friend! Spend some time out of the busy schedule we all have with some quiet time, psalms, and witness of the beauty of this season.
Leading will be Michael Antaya, one of the Liturgy Coordinators of the Shrine.
Christmas Decorations in the Shrine
Your preservation society members were active over the last week in finding the original Christmas decorations that used to grace the magnificent upper church, cleaning them up, and finding new homes for them in the Shrine.
The work was done under the auspices of the Society; many members pitched in to find the hidden treasures that were stored away for many years and bring them out and give them a new (temporary) home in the Shrine.
So, if you’re in the area, remembering it is still Advent, it’s worthwhile to stop by and spend some time with our Lord in the quiet of this beautiful space.
