As mentioned previously, healing masses celebrated by Fr. Edward Murphy have been graciously approved by Bishop da Cunha. You should start seeing these posters appearing around the Shrine and the area:
The dates approved by our Ordinary are on the graphic above and and we will update the posters as needed.
Please make note of this, and be sure to come to these masses, and bring your family and friends! Confession, rosary, Mass, exposition and benediction, blessings for healing? What better way to spend time with our Lord in a beautiful Shrine.
The preservation of St. Anne’s Shrine depends on the support of many people; whether it be time, talent, or treasure, everyone plays a part. We are moving forward on the first two fronts very well…it’s always about the treasure, right?
Whether you stop by the shrine and light a candle, browse our selection of donated items, or drop an offering in one of the boxes in the Shrine, please know that it is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use.
If you would like your contribution to be a bit more concrete or to sign up and make a pledge of a larger amount paid over time…in the menu to the right under the Preservation Society Information heading is an entry for “Donations!” (or you can click on the highlighted word here). Since we are a fully volunteer staff, the ‘automated’ methods (PayPal, Amazon, etc) are taking some time to set up. So, for now, if you click on that entry, you’ll see how to donate. Basically, print out the linked form by pressing the button at the top of the diplayed form page and send the completed form in with your offering.
And please be assured that ALL receipts stay with the Society to fund the renovation of St. Anne’s Shrine and will be used for NO OTHER PURPOSE. It won’t happen overnight, but we are well on our way towards the goal of once more being a place of healing, quiet, and His peace amid the noise of modern life.
Through the generosity of Bishop da Cunha, the Society has been given permission to host Fr. Edward Murphy on the third thursday of January, February, March, April, and May 2020 for his healing Mass ministry in the downstairs Shrine.
Activities start at 6:00PM in the Shrine with the blessed Rosary while Father hears confessions. Mass will start at 6:30PM, and is followed by individual encounter with his healing touch and prayers for recovery and good health.
All are invited; there will be a free-will collection during the Mass to support the efforts to rebuild the Shrine, and support Father’s ministry.
This is a popular and active ministry in the Diocese, and the Society is grateful to Fr. Murphy for bringing his special gifts to the people of southern Bristol County and the Catholic community here in Fall River.
