A Fitting Offering for Loved Ones
And making a gathering, he [Judas Maccabeus] sent twelve thousand drachms of silver to Jerusalem for sacrifice to be offered for the sins of the dead, thinking well and religiously concerning the resurrection, (For if he had not hoped that they that were slain should rise again, it would have seemed superfluous and vain to pray for the dead,) And because he considered that they who had fallen asleep with godliness, had great grace laid up for them. It is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins. (2 Maccabees 12:43-46)
The St. Anne Shrine Purgatorial Society is an opportunity for you to have your loved one(s) remembered in prayer here at the shrine. Those enrolled will share in all of the spiritual benefits including a monthly Novena in honor of Saint Anne on the last nine days of each month, the daily rosary, and all masses offered here at the shrine
The suggested annual donation for enrolling a loved one (living or deceased) is $25 for each name, or $35 each for a perpetual enrollment. The book of those enrolled is placed before the altar of the Shrine at all times.
You may enroll individuals at any time during the year, and their names will be added to the list of remembrances. We will acknowledge your enrollees with a special certificate that will be mailed to you. Your sacrificial gift will assist the St. Anne Preservation Society in its mission of restoring and sustaining the Shrine for generations to come.
Enrollment in the Purgatorial Society may be for both a living or deceased person. The gift of prayer is an excellent way to honor birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and other occasions.
