The following history was compiled by the great Dominican priest, Fr. Pierre Lachance, OP, the last Dominican pastor of St. Anne’s, who lovingly served the parish for many decades. He chronicled the history as contained in the records of the parish and Shrine, and for this we are grateful.
(It was thought the documents were lost to the ages when the parish was suppressed and the website taken down, but, since nothing on the Internet ever really disappears, this information was downloaded from the Internet Archive copy of the St. Anne’s Parish website as it appeared on March 3, 2006.)
