Just a reminder that our office is open from 8AM to 5PM every day (we will be closed, though, on Christmas) for the purchase of candles ($5.00 donation for the large, 5-day, and $1.00 for the 5-hour) as well as a selection of religious articles. Please stop by and visit; perhaps you’ll find that last-minute gift for someone.

Christmas Decorations in the Shrine
Your preservation society members were active over the last week in finding the original Christmas decorations that used to grace the magnificent upper church, cleaning them up, and finding new homes for them in the Shrine.
The work was done under the auspices of the Society; many members pitched in to find the hidden treasures that were stored away for many years and bring them out and give them a new (temporary) home in the Shrine.
So, if you’re in the area, remembering it is still Advent, it’s worthwhile to stop by and spend some time with our Lord in the quiet of this beautiful space.

New Photo of the Shrine
The folks at Nimble Gimble posted a drone photo of the Shrine, and, with permission, I’m including it here for your enjoyment:
THIS is why we’re working to save this Church.
Just a reminder…
The preservation of St. Anne’s Shrine depends on the support of many people; whether it be time, talent, or treasure, everyone plays a part. We are moving forward on the first two fronts very well…it’s always about the treasure, right?
Whether you stop by the shrine and light a candle, browse our selection of donated items, or drop an offering in one of the boxes in the Shrine, please know that it is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use.
If you would like your contribution to be a bit more concrete or to sign up and make a pledge of a larger amount paid over time…in the menu to the right under the Preservation Society Information heading is an entry for “Donations!” (or you can click on the highlighted word here). Since we are a fully volunteer staff, the ‘automated’ methods (PayPal, Amazon, etc) are taking some time to set up. So, for now, if you click on that entry, you’ll see how to donate. Basically, print out the linked form by pressing the button at the top of the diplayed form page and send the completed form in with your offering.
And please be assured that ALL receipts stay with the Society to fund the renovation of St. Anne’s Shrine and will be used for NO OTHER PURPOSE. It won’t happen overnight, but we are well on our way towards the goal of once more being a place of healing, quiet, and His peace amid the noise of modern life.
