Our first Eucharistic Holy Hour, celebrated by Fr. Paul Pinto, CSC, was held today, and from the comments and participation of the congregation, was a rousing success.

Many thanks to the Mission of Mercy prayer group, which meets in the Blessed Sacrament chapel every Friday afternoon, for bringing this to St. Anne’s, and we pray this becomes a regular part of our ministries in the Shrine.

We hope all who participated found a measure of solace in Our Lord’s presence and, having taken part in this Exposition and Benediction, received innumerable blessings.

Eucharistic Holy Hour

St. Anne’s is hosting a Eucharistic Holy Hour this Sunday, August 16, 2020, in the Shrine!

Join Fr. Paul Pinto, C.S.C. and the St. Anne’s Prayer Group at 2PM to spend time with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Exposition and Benediction, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available.

Help Save Santo Cristo!

Our Santo Cristo Chapel at the Shrine is in dire need of structural and physical repairs. The floor under the altar on which the image is located is buckling due to years of water damage and threatening to topple the statue, and the plaster on the walls is starting to crumble.

Unless repairs are made soon we will be forced to temporarily close this chapel and move the statue to secure storage until the necessary repairs can be made. This chapel was dedicated in 2006 due to the generosity of the local Portuguese community. If you can contribute a donation either via stopping by the Shrine office or by clicking the PayPal Donate button below or even by volunteering time and services to help us address this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

Please consider contributing to this cause of saving this important shrine for our Portuguese community. All proceeds will go towards the restoration of this chapel, and your name will be engraved on a plaque commemorating your contribution.

We’ve been working. Hard. With the assistance of an expert web designer who’s responsible for many Catholic webpages, the St. Anne’s Shrine website now is under the control of WordPress as our content management system.

Having worked on hand-coding websites for years, the flexibility and ease of use of active websites is enabled by moving to this content system. While every website is a “work in progress”, please feel free to contact us if there are any broken links or inoperative items.

We hope that this new presentation for St. Anne’s virtual home on the public Internet is useful and provides the information you need when you need it.
