Begin the New Year with the Sacrament of Reconciliation at St. Anne.
What is a Shrine, and what makes a shrine different?
Shrines are places set apart, designated for spiritual growth and healing. They are places of pilgrimage and worship. We are grateful to Bishop Edgar DaCunha S.D.V. for permitting St Anne’s to be a holy place where the Sacrament of Reconciliation can be celebrated for the pilgrims and faithful who visit.
Beginning this Thursday, January 4, 2024, confessions will be available on Thursday afternoons from 2:00-3:15pm every week. (Unless otherwise noted). Please use the confessional on the left hand side of the Shrine near the statue of St. Padre Pio. Confessions are available anonymously or face-to-face as the penitent desires.
We are also grateful to the rotation of priests that have so graciously agreed to help us in this ministry. Please pray for them and for the shrine in this necessary ministry.

Healing Mass Schedule Winter/Spring 2024
Father Edward Murphy, chaplain of St. Anne Shrine, has announced the schedule of Healing Masses for the Winter/Spring cycle of 2024. All dates are THURSDAY evenings, starting with the Holy Rosary at 6:00PM with the Sacrament of Reconciliation available, followed by the Mass, Healing Service, and Benediction and Exposition at 6:30PM. The dates are listed below for your convenience. Please make a note of them on your calendar!
We do ask you to use alternating pews (unavailable pews will be ribboned-off) so Fr. Murphy and his assistant can attend to everyone during the healing service portion of these services. All are invited to attend this beautiful liturgy.
Annual Procession and Mass for Peace
Yesterday evening, we gathered for the Diocese of Fall River’s Annual Procession & Mass for Peace on the steps of St. Anne Shrine.
Members of our staff and Board of Directors joined the large crowd that sang hymns and prayed the Holy Rosary, processing down South Main St. from the Shrine all the way to the Cathedral of St. Mary. There, Bishop da Cunha celebrated Mass, joined with Fr. Edward Murphy (our Chaplain) and other concelebrants.
While this beautiful event is over for this year, we continue to ask Our Lady’s intercession for peace in our world during this Month of the Rosary, especially in the war-torn areas of Ukraine, Taiwan, Israel, and Gaza.
