Mr. Scott Lariviere was officially named as Director of Music for St. Anne Shrine at the Society Board of Directors meeting on Monday, September 28, 2020, acknowledging formally a position he has held since the Shrine was reopened in 2019.
Mr. Lariviere has been involved in music ministry in the Diocese of Fall River for over 10 years, learning his craft under the direction of Madeleine Grace of the Cathedral of St. Mary for organ technique and theory, the late Normand Gingras for organ functionality and stop registration, Matthew McMullen for music theory, and Mary Zema for piano.
He is fully versed in all styles of liturgical music and his skills and sensibilities have added a new dimension of beauty to liturgies, devotions, and worship activities at St. Anne.
Additionally, he is responsible for coordinating cantors and other artists who wish to perform at St. Anne with the full support of the Board of Directors of St. Anne Shrine. Congratulations Scott!
