Today is the third Sunday of Advent. It is called Gaudete Sunday or Rejoice Sunday. It marks the midway of our Advent journey. Today the rose-colored candle is lit on the Advent wreath, and the priest at Mass will also wear rose-colored vestments. At Saint Anne we hope you will join us for Lessons and Carols this afternoon at 4:00pm.

Service of Lessons and Carols

St. Anne History Corner.
On January 7, 1960, after the completion of a Chapel dedicated to Saint Jude, Thursday devotions to the Patron of Hopeless Cases were inaugurated at the Shrine. A few weeks later, on February 18, the first perpetual novena to the long-forgotten Apostle began. The appeal of Saint Jude was tremendous from the outset and has contributed largely to extend the influence of Saint Anne Shrine.
