St. Anne Shrine, long a focal point of devotion to the Holy Rosary, has been officially erected by the Dominican Province of St. Joseph as a member of the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary to be known as the Rosary Altar Society of St. Anne Shrine.

Fr. Edward Murphy, our Chaplain, has been appointed as the director of the Confraternity. The Shrine Board of Directors is grateful to Fr. Murphy for overseeing this singular special appointment, and looks forward to assisting him in building up this needed devotion in the city and Diocese of Fall River.
As a Shrine long ministered to by the Friars and Brothers of the Order of Preachers such as Frs. Marchildon and Lachance of happy memory, bringing this special devotion and recognition back to St. Anne is another indication of the special place that our efforts are held by a most gracious Lord and we are grateful to Bishop Da Cunha for his endorsement and support of our efforts.
